In AI news that will surprise nobody, Google started showing AI results in their normal search results. We all knew it would come to this, so it’s not shocking, but hopefully they get this ironed out to where it’s actually good for users.
Cool Geek Shit
If you’re a wrestling fan, you already know this Hell in a Cell match, but it’s awesome to see The Undertaker and Mick Foley / Mankind watch it and give some behind the scenes stories.
Cool Music Shit
I’ve posted about Sphere before, but I’ve got some fresh videos from the Dead & Company tenure at the Las Vegas arena. It’s going to fun to watch how shows here evolve over the years.
Cool Sports Shit
World’s Number 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler was arrested while arriving onsite for Round 2 of the PGA Championship. The story is crazy. Scheffler thought he was following protocol, but was unaware that someone had been killed earlier in a traffic accident, resulting in a change to traffic pathways. The result is that he ended up dragging a police officer with his car, permanently damaging the officer’s pants beyond repair. Of course there were memes.
In other cool sports shit, the Seattle Mariners drop hot dogs with parachutes into their stands while “Heaven Is A Place On Earth” plays. I don’t think a better fan-service exists.

The Nile once ran along the great pyramids. Here’s a pretty cool write-up on scientists were able to prove their suspicions.
In other cool science shit, here’s another cool write-up on why cicadas only come out in prime number intervals. Since prime numbers are only divisible by 1 and itself, it limits the number of crossovers with predators who operate on a more common interval. In other cicada news, this year is a double brood year.

A trailer released for Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis, a film he self-funded. This has been in the works for years and is getting mixed reviews.

I need more room in my house. Lego is coming out with a Lord of the Rings Barad-dûr, aka Sauron’s Tower. This thing looks amazing.
